Dismissing accepted modern archival methods and government best practice guidelines, one of our funders has dug in and is requiring us to maintain original paper receipts and invoices. We will likely be able to nix this policy in the future, but for now, we’re going to need to follow this policy supplement to the PaperSave workflow. It applies only to physical paper receipts, not electronic receipts.
Each site will have a designated paper receipts file cabinet with folders labeled by month. After original paper receipts and invoices are entered into PaperSave, put the receipt in your site’s receipts folder immediately after entering it into PaperSave.
